Ami Maceira-Lopez is the founder of Everyday Future and the author of Supervising AI, a practical guide for managing large language models in the workplace. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Portland State University and has over 15 years of experience in the non-profit and public administration sector. 

For the last ten years, Ami managed federally funded workforce programs under the Department of Labor, overseeing grant portfolios, advising on workforce policy, and leading technology adoption across multiple organizations. When ChatGPT launched in 2022, her background in workforce development put her in early conversations with technology experts about the impact of Generative AI on the future of work. By 2023 she was presenting at conferences on the subject, building governance policies, usage standards, and adoption frameworks for organizations navigating that shift.

She founded Everyday Future to help businesses go through the same process she lived firsthand. Her favorite methodologies include Human-Centered Design, the Double Diamond methodology, Technology Task Fit, People, Process, Technology, and the Jobs-to-be-Done framework.
